However where this is not possible, e.g. when a doctor is away or your need is urgent and your preferred / named GP is unavailable, one of the other doctors will be able to see you. If you wish and are able to wait for the next available appointment for your chosen GP you can pre book. If you feel that a problem can be managed by telephone appointment, then these can also be pre-booked online or by telephoning the surgery option 1 (Appointments). The GP will call you on or around (generally within 1 hour of that time) please ensure you are by your phone/ that your mobile phone is switched on and receiving a signal.

Community Nursing Team - Our patients are served by the Newton Abbot Locality Community Nursing team who work for the Torbay & Southern Devon Healthcare Trust. The team have specialist skills in the delivery of general nursing and healthcare to patients who are housebound. Some of these patients are terminally ill and the team have access to the Palliative Nursing Service who specialise in end of life care. By the very nature of their job the nurses are mobile in the community and if you need to speak or get a message to them they have a mobile "baton" phone 07811123875.
